Sixteenth full-length from the award-winning Lake Charles, LA country and folk-rock singer-songwriter. Co-produced by Lucinda Williams alongside frequent collaborator Tom Overby. Lead single “New York Comeback” features guest performances by Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa. Other guests on the set include Margo Price, Buddy Miller, Angel Olsen, Tommy Stinson. The single streamed upon release on Consequence of Sound, NME, Stereogum [“rousing”]. Second single “Stolen Moments” was written in response to the death of Tom Petty. Car Wheels on a Gravel Road [1998], her fifth set, won the Grammy for “Best Contemporary Folk Album.” Rolling Stone counts it among the “Greatest Albums of All Time.” It’s included in the book “1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.”
