Third single from Formentera [out July 8], the eighth album from the Toronto, ON indie rock and synthpop quartet. Produced by Metric guitarist James Shaw alongside Gus Van Go and Liam O’Neil of The Stills. Prior Metric album Art of Doubt [2018] won the Juno Award for “Alternative Album of the Year.” Fourth album Fantasies [2009] was shortlisted for the Polaris Prize. They’ve played with The Rolling Stones, Muse, Bloc Party, Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, Arcade Fire, Paramore, Passion Pit, many others. They’re touring Canada in August with support from Spoon, Bartees Strange, Interpol. They’ll also play Mexico City in May with Young the Giant.
